It has been a pleasure for me to write a review for the service provided by A Second Opinion group. When i heard about the platform through word of mouth from my friend i was able to schedule an appointment on the platform with Dr.M.S. Seshadri . The platform was very easy to use to schedule the appointment, upload my medical documents, photos etc. for the physician to access my records. After the Telemedicine appointment was completed, my doctor was able to provide me with a clinical summary, next steps and prescription for my ailment that was sent to me via an email. Overall, the service provided by Telemedicine appointment , and my physician's (Dr.Seshadri), his attention to details and talking through my health history by asking a lot of questions that is crucial for a conclusive diagnosis, and pulling together a plan for next steps for Tests, life style changes, medicines etc. was very helpful. I consulted with one of the specialists working with A Second Opinion telemedicine clinic. I had recently done a full blood work test and saw that some levels of some hormones and vitamins were lower or higher than average. Googling was not helpful, in fact it was quite alarmist. I was diagnosed with BAV with severe AVR (Aortic Valve Regurgitation) during a comprehensive health checkup. After that I met the cardiologist (Dr. Mohan H N @ Spandana Heart & Super Speciality Hospital, Sarjapura) whom we consult for my Mom and he repeated the 2d-echo test and confirmed to me that it's severe AVR and that even though it's not an emergency but I should start consulting cardiothoracic surgeons. I consulted at multiple hospitals, and then one of my close friend recommended that I should also consult once with Dr. K. V. Krishnan at "A Second Opinion". We booked a consultation and it really helped me a lot in the decision making. I had done hell lot of research on the subject since I was diagnosed with this condition. And Had taken so many opinions from Doctors from India, London and Germany on my case. And there were so many options put forward to me that after all that I was feeling a bit confused as to which option is better for me. Now, while consulting with Dr. Krishnan, he allowed me great amout of time to explain the current case and what all options have been given to me. He listened to my complete story and asked further questions and explained risks and benefits of all the options be it tissue valve, ozaki repair or mechanical valve. He also confirmed to me that even though the problem has been incidentally found, I need to get this operated sooner than later as there were clear indications for surgery in my 2d-echo report. To help resolve the dilemma about repair v/s replacement, he also referred me to Dr Prasanna at Jayadeva (who is supposed to be one of the experts in repair in south-asian region). After having consulted at Jayadeva, I consulted again with Dr. Krishnan and once again he cleared my doubts and recommended that a valve replacement with a mechanical valve using MICS is the best option that suits me. In fact, He figured out one of the surgeons (Dr Nitin Kumar Rajput) who repeatedly does this kind of MICS surgery is available at Narayana Hrudayala. He suggested to me that I should meet Dr Nitin also once and it's always better to get operated by a surgeon who has done the same procedure many many times. I am so very grateful for his suggestions, I met Dr Nitin Kumar Rajput and after talking to him I felt even more confident going for the surgery. Today, it is the 11th day since my surgery has been done successfully and I was discharged in a week. I do the recommended exercises and walking. Feeling better day by day. After having such a nice exeperience with Dr. K V Krishnan, I am also looking forward to a post-op discussion/consultation with him. I highly recommend him.
